Elie was a Jewish boy who was very impregnable in his faith before the holocaust. To him, his religion was everything to him. He had a sizeable love for his God and believed that no matter what, his God would endlessly be there to guide him and see th nettlesome the darkness that life sometimes sends us. To Elie his faith gave him hope, a way to draw through any obstacle that he faced. When they were abolished from their village by the German soldiers, many things started to change. As time went by Elie was torturing by the Germans along with his fellow Jews. But the beatings and torture continued and people were silence dying. Then came the silence and Elie started to feel as if his God had fain him and his loved ones. At this point Elie started to lose his faith and run everything he had known of his God. Elie then stopped worshiping and praying all together. He had renounced his faith.
