In the end the survivors who are giving their testimonies are alive today, unlike umteen of their family members or friends who they saw perish at the hands of the Nazis. It is a book about courage, it is a book about survival, and it is to a greater extent than importantly a book that the survivors destiny to share their stories in for the memories of those they lost. The first story which caught my attention was the story of Lucie Pressburg Jacobson. She was born(p) in 1924 in Vienna, and her father had an architectural firm.
